• I Currently have ADSL with a different provider – Is it difficult to switch to Europa ? - No, not at all ! The changeover to Europa is very easy, just contact our Sales Team via the contact form (accessed via the above link) and they will talk you through the process.
• How long does this take once I have placed my order ? - Your new Europa ADSL connection should be Live within 20 working days from the date the order was placed.
• How will I know when my new ADSL connection is live ? - We will send you a router to install along with some very simple instructions. Once all 4 lights on the router have turned green you will be Live. If you have any problems at all you can call the Technical Support Team anytime, who will talk you through the set up while you are on the phone.
• What do all the lights mean on the router ? - There are 4 lights :
1.) Power light
- No light: There is no power. Make sure the router is plugged in, and check the on/off switch at the back.
- Solid red: Leave for one minute. If it stays Red try another power socket.
- Flashing red and green: Change to a different power socket.
- Solid green: Power is stable.
2.) Ethernet light:
- Off: Your computer is either off, or you have your Local Area Connection disabled, or you have a problem with your LAN card.
3.) DSL light:
- No Light: Remove any filters which may be attached to the phone line. Try another phone socket in the house.
- Flashing green: Remove any filters which may be attached to the phone line.
- Solid green: DSL is connected. If you still can't get the Ethernet light, call us.
4.) Internet light:
- Off: The router is not authenticating. Leave it for a few minutes, if there is still no light, try to reconfigure the router.
- Solid / flashing green: The internet should now be working. If it isn't, call us.
How can I test my ADSL Connection speed, and what kind of results can expect from you ? - The best site to check your ADSL speed is www.speedtest.net. From here you will be presented with a GLOBE, on this globe there will be numerous blue pyramids, you will need to click on the yellow pyramid. There will be only one. This will then test your speed. Your results should be Download: Approximately 850kbps and Upload: Approximately 250kbps.
