Laura studied French and German at Nottingham University and after graduating used her language skills to work for a time as an "international editor". The desire to learn other languages and spend some more time abroad then took her to both Spain and Italy, where she taught English as a Foreign Language. She has travelled extensively throughout Europe and has also visited the US
