Return of Wealth Tax

I see in the press today that Spain is considering bringing back the wealth tax. What would this mean to the average guy in the street ? Should I be worried, or is it something that is only levelled at businesses or the super-rich ?

I think we can relax Mr. G - Rubalcaba gave an interview yesterday and said the Gov had 'no plans' to bring it back. Doesn't mean that the PP won't have plans tho.

Well I've just seen him on an interview on the Spanish TV and from what I could understand, he hasn't ruled it's return out altogether (If and when he is able to pull off a miraculous victory in November) and spoke of other taxes being implemented, but he was pretty sketchy on the details. I doubt he has put too much thought into it as he knows he is unlikely to be called on to justify anything until he looks like he has even a slim chance of being elected !
