I wonder what surprises Sr Rajoy has got in store for us later today with his first budget ?.......

I honestly don't think that the budget was too bad under the circumstances. We all know that Spain is in a dire situation and Rajoy always needed to do something extreme in order to try and get the country out of the mess that it currently finds itself in. If anything, I don't think that it was austere enough.

Of course Rajoy isn't going to impose any severe or extreme cuts whilst the Country, the Markets and the World is watching.... he will wait until the dust has settled and then do it quitely when he hopes that it won't create as much of a fuss. Luis de Guindos as good as admitted that there would be "reforms" of the Health and Education sectors on Friday !

Funny how the full details of all the airport tax hikes and tax amnesty's etc... are all slowly coming to light from the draft budget now that the budget itself has moved from the front pages of the press.
