As Murcia grows, so do the attractions! It has been announced that Paramount Theme Park will open in 2015...

MORE land ?

Postby Tyler » Sat May 19, 2012 10:28 am

I read in the press a few weeks ago that Paramount were only able to buy 1 Million of the 1.5 million sq mts of land that they originally required. So they spent (even more) money on changing the architects plans and design of the park to fit it into the land that they bought.
Now I read that they are negotiating the purchase of a further 500'000 sq mts on the other side of the park.

Isn't it about time somebody at Paramount or Premursa got a grip ?

It just seems to me that the people in charge of many things in Spain were at the back of the queue when brains were dished out, you mentioned Paramount.

The opening of Corvera airport is now on hold or cancelled because of commitments to NATO. (Did someone just pay €130,000,000 to build it?)

The AVE railway was supposed to have a station close to Corvera and Paramount for obvious beneficial reasons and it has been revealed this will no longer happen.

The thick Spanish authorities demolish a British ex pat couple's (The Priors) home in front of British television cameras (And others) and wonder why they lost a very lucrative property selling business overnight and this happened before the economic downturn took any real effect.

The Spanish do seem to enjoy a masochistic life, its such a pity as they could have had a booming economy if they were not so preoccupied with their self destruct politics and short sighted policies.

They certainly don't like to make it easy on themselves do they ? It also leaves me wondering how many of these wastages in public money we never get to hear about after being successfully swept under the carpet.
