Is the promise of Paramount Keeping Corvera alive ?

Firstly, I know very little about the Murcia area - let alone the Paramount project or the new airport at Corvera, however from what I have read in the press it seems to me that the Regional Government is taking a huge gamble that visitor to the theme park will be able to sustain the 4 million passengers per year that the airport needs and expects.

Can (or will) the theme park actually do this, or is Corvera slated to see falling passengers numbers (Like Alicante & San Javier to name a few) even before it opens ?

However, given that the Theme park got it's final approval to go ahead on Tuesday I would imagine that there are a lot of Aeromur executives breathing a hevy sigh of relief now. Official figures seem to vary, but from what I understand the park 'expects' about 5 Million visitors per year, of which they 'expect' that 3 Million of them will fly to the airport.
Add that to their everyday traffic and the airport estimates that they 'should' serve 4 million passengers per year.

Seem a massive risk having 75% of your traffic from just the one source though....

A point I've just seen Oldtimer make in the Corvera thread is that until they actually name at least a couple of airlines and routes that will fly passengers into the airport - even when Paramount is open - nothing is going to happen anyway !
