Lawyers Register ?

Is there such a thing as a central register for Spanish Lawyers where I can check up on their credentials somewhere - or anything similar anyone can think of ? Thankyou !

Like Gulliver says, check them on the register of the Colegio (not all lawyers are) - and makes sure that you ask around and get some recommendations aswell.

The benefit is that you can claim on their insurance policy in the event of being able to proove that they had given you bad / negligent advice that left you out of pocket.

You would check by asking to see a copt of any policy that they claimed to have.
