What Spanish taxes should you (or shouldn't you) be paying ?

Spanish Tax Calendar

It seems that the Spanish Tax Authorities have published a calendar giving dates for when and how all the various Taxes have to paid, for the first time ever ! - http://www.aeat.es/AEAT/Contenidos_Comunes/Diversos/Acceso_Directo/A_un_click/Folleto_Calendario2011_en.pdf

I'm impressed that they have taken the time to put together such a comprehensive document for the benfit of expats, but I can't see how any of it replaces the need for me to use my Asesor to do everything for me!

Many of the Asesors that I have used in the past sometimes seem in the dark themselves with regards to who needs to pay how much taxes, for what and when. Hopefully this will make this much clearer within the industry. Let's just hope that Asesors as a whole refer to it.

I think I will forward that link to my Asesor. He never seems to have a clue what is going on and I´m getting used to telling him what to do !

Then I´d say it is time to start looking for a new Asesor

I think the point here is that, although your Asesor / Tax consultant will almost always and 'should' know what dates they are working to, it is useful to be aware of these dates and deadlines for our own purposes, so we as induviduals know what we are up against. Quite a good number of us expats take care of our own tax obilgations aswell !

Very useful, thankyou.
Although, I should not be surprised that the Hacienda has waited until now to make it easier for the tax paying public to pay their dues.
