UK Pension question

I'm a retired Spanish resident and next year I become eligible to claim a UK state pension. Must it be paid into a UK bank account in my name, or can it be paid into my husband's name ? I closed my UK bank account when I moved to Spain and it may not be easy for me to open up another one in my name.

You can do one of two things here : either arrange with the Pensions Service that your husband is authorised to receive your pension on your behalf, or - better still, why not just get it paid straight into your bank in Spain ?

I suppose it depends where you need the money to be paid. If you have outgoings in the Uk then you can authorise the Pensions service to make the payments into a different namk account, but thousands of retired expats here in Spain get their pensions paid straight into their Spanish bank accounts with few problems.

Can you tell me what the costs / charges / commissions are in arranging that, please ?
