Orange Spain has launched another initiative in its ongoing support for the Unicef project "Construye su futuro" ('Build Your Future'), which seeks to promote access to education for 220,000 children living in the Dominican Republic.
The operator has joined forces with Velez-Malaga town hall in Andalucia to encourage school children in the area to collect and hand in used smartphones.
The children will be running campaigns encouraging local residents to hand in their smartphones at collection points in local schools until 30 April. A total of 950,000 smartphones have been collected for the project since it started in 2012.
