Sales of new cars in Spain rose by 20.9% in the first 11 months of the year when compared with the same period of a year earlier, according to data published on Tuesday by Spain's automobile industry organizations.
The Association of Car Manufacturers (ANFAC), the Federation of Association of Dealers of the Automotive sector (FACONAUTO) and the Association of Car Dealers (GANVAM) posted a total of 945,623 new cars purchased from January to November.
The organizations also said that in November alone sales of new cars rose by 25.4% to a total of 81,650 units, a figure that made this month the best November since 2009.
Firms bought 23,904 units in November, which meant a 20.8% increase on a year-on-year basis, while they purchased 258,258 vehicles in the first 11 months of the year, 31.5% more in comparison with the same period of a year earlier.
Individuals bought 52,836 units in November which meant a 27.5% increase on a year-on-year basis, while in the first 11 months of the year they purchased a total of 518,086 units, which meant a 19.2% increase when compared with the same period of a year earlier.
