The Spanish Prime Minister will attend a Labour Party seminar and meet Gordon Brown at Number Ten.
Spanish Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, is travelling to London today after the regular Friday cabinet meeting in Madrid this morning.
He goes to Number Ten to discuss the EU Economy with British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown. Also present at the meeting in London will be the Greek Prime Minister, Giorgios Papandreu, and the head of the Norwegian Government, Jens Stoltenberg.
The meeting and seminar are organised by the Labour Party Policy Network, and has the title ‘Employment, industry and opportunity - The strategy for growth after the recession’.
Brown and Zapatero are also expected to discuss the forthcoming G-20 meetings, and the European Council meetings to be held during the Spanish Presidency of the EU, as well as the situation in Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and the relations between Europe and the United States.
