92 deaths on Spanish roads were recorded during last month. The figure represents a decrease of 33% when compared with February 2009 - despite erratic weather conditions - and is the first time that these monthly statistics have been under 100 for many years.
Last weekend alone brought 11 fatalities from 10 accidents according to the data from the DGT traffic authority.
This year to date there has been 231 recorded deaths on the roads - 62 less than the same period last year.
