A gay couple have filed a denuncia for homophobia against one of the exhibitors at the famous April Feria in Sevilla. They report that they were expelled from one of the casetas in the fairground last week after sharing what was said to be ‘a simple kiss’.
They say it happened in the early hours of the morning after they had spent some time dancing with a young crowd in the caseta and were approached by two married couples - members of the caseta ordering the two men to leave.
‘They said the caseta was the same as their home and they could not tolerate such behaviour’, Jonathan told El Mundo. He said one of the four then dragged him by the arm to the exit. ‘It was a clear act of homophobia’, he said. ‘It’s not happened to us anywhere else’.
Their complaint is being supported by the Andalucía Federation of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transsexuals.
