An expatriate has been arrested by police in Spain in connection with the stabbing of another expat.
The British man, who has not been named, was arrested for allegedly firing a gun in a busy Ciudad Quesada bar before stabbing another Briton in the chest.
He was questioned by Civil Guard officers after being arrested at his home in the Costa Blanca, which is near the bar, the Mirror reported.
The stabbed man was released from hospital after receiving treatment.
It comes a few days after another British expatriate was shot dead during a drive-by incident.
Daniel Smith from Billericay in Essex was gunned down outside a bar in the Costa del Sol on Saturday June 5th as he was sitting outside with a drink.
Detectives are working on a theory that the incident was a contract killing, with the assassin escaping on the back of a motorbike driven by another man.
