SANTANDER
The Spanish bank has renewed talks in recent weeks to merge its U.S. operations with New York regional lender M&T, the FT reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
AIR
British airport operator BAA, owned by Spain's Ferrovial and the Unite union have reached a deal to prevent a strike by ground staff at major UK airports this month, officials said on Monday.
GAS NATURAL
A three-year court battle over prices between Spain's Gas Natural and Algeria's Sonatrach has ended in favour of the Algerian state-controlled gas company, implying higher prices for a quarter of Spanish gas supply.
Separately, Spanish press said on Tuesday Gas Natural would have to pay Sonatrach 1.5 billion euros for gas supply contracts between 2007 and 2009.
