Millions of policy holders from the UK are risking breaking the law while driving on hliday in Spain, a recent study has revealed.
A study commissioned by Sainsbury's shows that many holidaymakers with breakdown car cover will - either intentionally or unintentionally - fall foul of the authorities during their trip.
The report illustrated that around 1.5 million Brits have been involved in some kind of road accident abroad in their own car at one time, while a further 6.5 million people are planning to take their vehicle overseas in the coming 12 months.
Sainsbury's warn that this could lead to legal issues - for example, around a third - of those surveyed planning a trip to Spain stated that they would not carry a reflective jacket in their car, which breaks the law.
Defaqto also recently stated that car insurance providers should give their customers more information over the exact charges they are paying for their policy.
