Bad loans held by Spanish banks, picked up again in July after a slight decline in June, central bank data showed on Friday.
Total bad debt held by banks and financing cooperatives, including debt issued by credit cards, rose by 1.57 billion euros in July to 100.48 billion, Bank of Spain figures showed.
The ratio of bad debt to total debt, or the non-performing loans (NPL) ratio, rose to 5.47 percent in July from 5.35 percent a month earlier.
