Euro carrying burden of dollar and yuan fall

 

Nowotny was quoted as saying by Austrian newspaper Wirtschafts Blatt that the euro was carrying: "the main burden of the depreciation of the U.S. dollar and the Chinese currency."

Nowotny was also quoted as saying the recent volatility had been "striking" and that Ireland was likely to feel greater pressure from rise of the euro than Greece.
