The Balearic Islands are an ideal location for short breaks for holidaymakers and other travellers.
This was the opinion put forward by Carmen Hernandez Gomez, market analyst at the Spanish Tourism Office, who pointed out that flights to the destination are currently cheap.
Ibiza is often thought of as a party island, but it may surprise some with its range of attractions.
"Try local delicacies and gastronomy, mountain bike routes, a day in the sea on a rented boat and trekking. Get to know the locals, its culture and the weekend markets," suggested Ms Hernandez Gomez.
Visitors staying on Mallorca could try a round of golf at one of 23 courses, go for a cycle ride and enjoy the cultural delights of the capital, Palma, she stated.
Her comments follow the findings of the trivago Hotel Price Index, which showed the cost of overnight accommodation in the Balearic Island has fallen to an average of £66 a night.
