The sale Spanish properties fell once again after eight consecutive months of rises. The National Statistics Institute (INE) reports that sales fell by 4.1% on September, based on the same period last year.
September saw the sale of 36,046 homes - with 50.4% being new-build properties and the balance being resales.
Resale property sales increased by 1.9% when compared to the same peiod last year, however the sale of new-build properties fell by 9.4%.
The Andalucía, Madrid, Cataluña and Valencia regions contributed to 61% of the overall sales, but surprisingly the Cantabria and Murcia regions saw more sales per head of population.
