Spain' latest AVE high-speed rail service commences service on December 19th and will connect Valencia with the capital in just 90 minutes.
The specially built trains will be able to accomodate a total of 365 passengers - 71 in club class and the remaining 294 in tourist class. 12 Trains will between them operate 20 trips per day and travel at speeds of up to 205mph.
Previous times for the trip were 3 Hours and 45 mins.
This, together with recent investment in the cities architecture, public services and infrastructure - aswell as being host to numerous international sporting events - sees Valencia asserting itself as one of Spain's major tourist destinations.
