CAJAS/BANKS
Savings bank La Caixa may decide to turn itself into a bank in January, El Periodico reported, citing unnamed sources close to the deal.
Separately, El Pais said Ibercaja and Unicaja have started talks to create Spain's fourth largest savings bank.
Ratings agency Moody's said on Monday it had placed 30 Spanish banks under review following its Dec. 15 decision to place the country's sovereign rating under review with the threat it could downgrade its outlook.
