REPSOL
India's Essar is studying the acquisition of 5 percent of Spanish oil giant Repsol, worth 1.3 billion euros, in the market or from shareholders La Caixa or Sacyr, Expansion reported on Thursday, citing energy market sources.
IBEX, Banks
Spain's leading share index and banking stocks, which saw large gains on Wednesday, will be sensitive to demand for the Treasury's 5-year bond issue which should be auctioned around 0930 GMT.
BANESTO, SANTANDER
The Spanish retail bank, majority owned by Spain's biggest bank Santander, will kick off sector full-year results before markets open, followed by a presentation to analysts at 0930 GMT.
