A Ryanair flight from Lanzerote bound for Brussels was cancelled this morning following a distrurbance when a staff member tried to charge one passenger extra for having additional hand luggage.
The pilot radioed for assistance when friends of the passenger in question "became disruptive and refused to comply with crew instructions."
Spanish airport police arrived but the group's unruly behaviour worsened and the police decided that the whole party should be refused travel for reasons of security.
The passengers were are made to disembark the plane, but it was later allowed to depart, however only with 64 of the 168 passengers.
Ryanair stated that that the police had insructed that entire aircraft be offloaded and each passenger identified.
