Elena Salgado, Spain's Finance Minister, may consider lowering the upper limit of the new core capital ratio that cajas will need under new rules discussed, the Spanish press reported yesterday.
Cajas would require core capital ratios between 9% and 9.5%, Spain's Europa Press reported, citing unnamed contacts close to Spanish Politicians.
