Overseas property investors from the UK may wish to consider Spain ahead of other destinations when it comes to deciding on which country to make a purchase in.
This follows comments made by Hernandez Gomez, market analyst for the Spanish Tourism Office, who has noted that British tourists who visit the Spain geneally feel at home here.
Her findings came after a poll commissioned by sunshine.co.uk that revealed how Spain is seen as the safest destination by most tourists, Ms Gomez said Brits feel comfortable here because they "have been travelling to Spain for many decades".
"They feel at home … they don't feel like they are in a foreign country," she explained, adding how Spain also benefits from modern hospitals and airports, safe roads and the fact that English speakers are commonplace in the most popular areas.
Buyers may also wish to consider investing in property in Portugal, after Daily Telegraph writer Gill Charlton wrote how the country offers a mix of cities - such as Porto and Lisbon - and coastal attractions like the Algarve that will also appeal to visitors from the UK.
