GREEK AUGUST HOUSEHOLD CREDIT GROWTH SLOWS TO 4.7 PCT Y/Y
Growth in Greek household borrowing slowed further to anannual 4.7 percent pace in August from 5.2 percent in July, inline with broader euro zone trends, the country's central banks aid on Friday.
HSBC UPGRADES PIRAEUS BANK, BANK OF CYPRUS
HSBC upgraded Piraeus Bank to neutral from under weight and Bank of Cyprus to overweight from neutral. It also raised Eurobank's price target to 10.8 from 7.7 euros, keeping its neutral rating, and National Bank's price target to 29 from 24 euros, maintaining an overweight rating. HSBC also raised Alpha Bank's and Marfin Popular Bank's price targets to 11.9 from 8.1 euros and to 2.6 from 2 euros, respectively.
ONLINE TRADING FIRM SAXO BANK OPENS OFFICE IN ATHENS
Online trading and investment firm Saxo Bank is launching operations in Athens to tap growing demand for online investment services, executives said on Friday.
KLEEMAN LOOKS FOR MIDDLE EAST COOPERATION OPPORTUNITIES
Elevator systems firm Kleeman is looking for cooperation opportunities in the Middle East, financial daily Imerisia reported, citing unnamed sources. The company has invested 16.5 million euros in 2007-2009 mainly on new buildings and equipment, the paper added.
GREEK BROADBAND CONNECTIONS UP 7.4 PCT IN Q2
Broadband connections in Greece rose 7.4 percent in the second quarter of the year compared to the first three months of 2009, according to a report of research company Point Topic, financial daily Imerisia reported.
