SABADELL, BANCO POPULAR
Spanish banks Sabadell and Popular would be interested in acquiring assets from savings banks following a round of sector restructuring, Expansion reported, citing Sabadell CEO Jaime Guardiola and Popular CFO Jacobo Gonzalez-Robatto during a conference in London.
TELEFONICA, TELECOM ITALIA
El Economista reported Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is interested in participating in Telecom Italia via his company Mediaset, but would do so without upsetting Telefonica, the newspaper reported citing sources "related to" Telecom Italia.
BBVA
