Expatriates living in Spain who are keen to stay in touch with friends and family in the UK have a new travel option available to them.
BA CityFlyer, a subsidiary of British Airways, has announced a new route between London City Airport and Malaga in the Costa del Sol.
The flights will commence from June 8th this year and will make the journey three times a week.
Ignacio Osle, sales and marketing director of property developers Taylor Wimpey de Espana, suggested that the news is "another positive step for Spain welcoming increased passenger numbers from London and the south-east of England".
He added: "Demand is high for the Costa del Sol and Mallorca with many air travellers taking their holidays in these sunshine destinations but also we have great number of home owners in these regions so more flights allows greater flexibility in accessing second homes throughout the year."
