The cloud of ash caused by a recent eruption of Iceland's Grimsvoetn volcano could reach Scottish airspace by Tuesday and western France and northern Spain on Thursday, according to an announcement made on the website of Eurocontrol air - the European security organization responsible for controling euopean airspace.
Eurocontrol went on to report how no closure of airspace had been planned for Sunday and Monday anywhere in Europe, with the exception of those already announced in Iceland, but that they would continue to closely monitor the situation.
