Spain's number of unemployed fell again in June, this time by 67,858, and currently stands at 4,121,801, according to the Public Employment Service Offices.
The numbers typically fall at this time of year due to extra staffing requirements within the Tourist industries.
Unemployment decreased across all industries, except Agriculture where employment has fallen for a third consecutive month fall, which may not have been the case if it were not for the 'Cucumber crisis' caused by the E.coli panic last month. However, despite the rate slowing, an additional 139,433 workers were made unemployed during June.
A total of 1,312,519 new contract of employment were issued in May, some 14,900 more than the same month last year, however the number contributing social security payment fell in June by 5,612, meaning that just 17,586,579 now contribute into the system - 38% of the population.
