The former Deputy PM and the PSOE party's electoral candidate, Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, has become one of the victims of a large-scale Twitter mix-up.
Thousands of miles away on the west coast of America a young TV Director with the same surname, together with the Twitter user name of @Rubalcaba, has recently seen a flood of new followers - most assuming him to be the middle-aged Spaniard.
Even recent Tweets by the American, saying : " Of all of my internal organs, it's my liver that I anthropomorphize the most " Seemingly failed to make many followers realise that they were following the 'wrong' Rubalcaba.
Joe Rubalcaba has taken the mix-up good naturedly, and continues to follow and be followed by many Tweeters now that the confusion has been resolved.
