Vodafone Espaņa has launched its new handset, focussed on Facebook users who have pre-paid contracts with the Telcomms giant.
The Vodafone 555 Blue handset has been developed in close association with the social network and manufactured by TCL, who also make phones for Alcatel.
The technology instantly launches Facebook, delivers updates to the phone's main screen, combines Facebook messages with texts and e-mail from the same contacts, allows quick uploading of photos from the integrated camera and synchronises Facebook profiles with the phone's address book.
The handset's also comes with a fully customisable Facebook 'F' button which can act as a short cut to a number of facebook tools and features, including instantly posting a status update with photos from the gallery or with links from the browser.
The phone is expected to be available 'starting from' free of charge to those on a Vodafone contract, and comes with many advanced features, such as a 2.4-inch TFT screen, qwerty keypad, memory card slot up to 16GB and Opera Mini 5 web browser.
