A series of minor earthquakes and tremors were felt in South-East Spain over the course of yesterday afternoon.
In the South of the area affected, an earthquake measuring 3.4 on the richter scaled was felt, but was located off the coast of Albuñol, Granada at a depth of 10km
Tremors from this quake were felt in the towns of Albuñol, Gualchos, Castell de Ferro and La Rábita, as well as in Adra, in neighbouring Almería province, however there were no recorded incidents of injuries or damage to property.
In the North a tremor measuring 2.2 on the richter scale struck an area just outside of Lorca, Murcia.
Lorca felt three minor tremors just two weeks ago, and a further two in August, however, two quakes measuring 4.6 and 5.2 on the richter scale rocked the town back in May of this year, causing 9 deaths and millions of Euros in damage.
The town is still undergoing extensive construction works with whole buildings being ripped down to be made safe, and others undergoing extensive repair.
