Swiss private bank Julius Baer said on Monday it had appointed Christopher Todd Burgess as managing director to head its international desk and external asset manager business out of Hong Kong.
Burgess, a 19-year wealth management veteran, was last employed with rival Swiss private bank, Clariden Leu, in Hong Kong, where he was previously head of north Asia. He has also held senior positions at Coutts and HSBC Republic in Hong Kong, and has worked in the New York, Paris, Geneva and Luxembourg offices of Bank Indosuez, said Julius Baer in a press release.
Julius Baer's international desk will serve global clients who are managed by wealth advisers in Hong Kong while the external asset manager (EAM) business aims to build further relationships with family offices and stand alone independent advisers.
