Who Actually Owns The Paramount Pictures Theme Park ?

 

Now that the Paramount Pictures Theme Park has finally been given the go ahead after the official presentation in Madrid, who actually owns and operates the park itself, and what exactly is the role of Paramount ?

The owners and operators of the park are a company, called PROYECTOS EMBLEMATICOS MURCIANOS S.A. (PREMURSA), who have constructed the park under licence from Paramount Licencing.

It was the initial approval of Paramount at a project feasibility presentation in LA last month that paved the way for the official presentation in Madrid yesterday that was attended by the Vice President for Paramount Licensing, Michael Bartok.

Paramount's role is essentially to design the park and provide branding for many of the rides and entertainment areas.

The Major shareholders in Premursa SL are :

SANTA MÓNICA FINANCIAL SERVICES S.L. (Subsidiary company of GRUPO SANTA MÓNICA SPORTS S.L.) with an equity participation of 80% of the stock capital

REGIÓN DE MURCIA TURÍSTICA S.A. (REMUTURSA) is a Company with public capital stock and under the authority of the Regional Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Region of Murcia, with a participation of 10% of the stock capital

INSTITUTO DE FOMENTO DE LA REGIÓN DE MURCIA (INFO) under the authority of the Regional Ministry of Universities and Companies of the Region of Murcia, with a participation of 10% of the stock capital
