El Mundo has reported this morning how the Partido Populae are planning to to merge some of the country's regulators if they should be vicorious in the coming general election, as is widely expected.
.the Energy regulator and the telecommunications regulator will be mereged into one entity to oversee all industry practice, according to an unnamed souce close to the PP.
The intention of the measure is to reduce costs and give the newly merged body more independence without political influence regarding the appointment od board members, the newspaper said. The new institution would have two sections, one for energy and another one for telecommunications, with just one president.
