News today by overseas property portal GlobalEdge.co.uk, has reported how Russians are now the largest buyers of property in the province of Alicante.
Whilst the Brits have traditionally lead the way with purchases in Alicante, according to Jesualdo Ros, head of the regional developers' trade body, the Russian now currently head the list, followed by the Scandinavians, Dutch and Belgians, who are all currently ahead of teh British buyers.
GlobalEdge cites statistics from the Fuente Colegio de Registradores, published in August, which reveal how the number of Russian buying in Spain as a whole has increased by 19% compared to last year.
However, the total number of Russian purchasers for the entire country still lags British buyers by a factor of almost three to one, with Russians being the fourth most prevalent group after British, German and French buyers.
