Earlier today Ryanair announced important developments surrounding their operations at Bilbao's Loiu airport, which will effect flights scheduled for the airport's summer period as of next month.
Earlier this year the airline announced that it would commence operations at Loiu with two flights per day to both Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona-El Prat airports.
Today the company spoke of how they expect to carry 400,000 passengers a year - 200,000 on each route - and plans to create 400 indirect jobs at the airport.
Ryanair also claimed that their arrival would result in the saving of €50 million per year for passengers, and envisaged average ticket prices of between €19 - €25.
A further third route from Bilbao's Loiu airport will run to Düsseldorf-Weeze airport from the 15th of May.
