French private equity group PAI will not reduce its stake in Atos Origin despite changing the investment rules of its Fifth buyout fund, a source close to the matter told Reuters.
"Atos remains intact," the source said.
On Friday, PAI got the go-ahead from investors to reopen a buyout fund but on a more modest scale and with governance that is more favourable to them.
With individual investments limited to 15 percent of thefund's 2.7 billion euro ($4.1 billion) total, investors had questioned whether PAI would need to divest part of its stake inAtos.
The 22.6 percent stake PAI owns in Atos is worth just over 500 million euros. ($1 = 0.6634 euro)
