Four British suspects have been arrested as a result of a National operation conducted by the Police against a professional team of car thieves in Málaga and Alicante. It is understood that two of the luxury vehicles to have been recovered were located just outside the city of Alicante, and an Algerian man has subsequently been arrested for having them in his possession. One of them was stolen in Spain and the other in Holland, however, both of them were fitted with false number plates.
Police made further arrests as part of the same investigation in Murcia, when a stolen car fitted with fake British number plates was stopped. The three passengers arrested were understood to be all British.
A 27 British man was also arrested in the on-going investigation in Fuengirola, driving a car displaying false UK registration plates. After searching the vehicle similar false UK Plates were also found in the boot of the car.
