Spain is the number one holiday destination for Brits looking to jet off on holiday next year, it has been revealed.
Research carried out by online holiday publication Travelzoo found that Europeans are looking to travel more next year than they did in 2009.
Respondents from the UK were the most optimistic about their plans for 2010, with 55 per cent saying they plan to travel more than in 2009.
Three-quarters of these trips will be taking place outside the UK, with Spain the most popular location, indicating demand for Spain luxury villas will remain high.
Travelzoo managing director Joel Brandon-Bravo commented: "We are very pleased to see that our UK subscribers are upbeat about their plans for 2010.
"This is encouraging news for the British travel industry as we prepare for peak booking season."
