Earlier on Sunday the town of Salou, Catalonia 'welcomed' the first tranche of 4,600 British university students for their nortorious 'Saloufest' Easter break.
The debauched holiday - which has run each year since 2002 - typically sees thousands of students take over the town for around 3 weeks in what is marketed as a 'Sporting Festival'.
Whilst locals and business owners are divided on the subject, both generally agree that the students both cause havoc and a strain on local resources, yet have a significant positive impact on the local economy at a time before the holiday season begins in earnest. This year's Saloufest is expected to generate some EU 5 Million for the town.
