Spain's consumer price index, or CPI, fell 0.90% in September compared to the same month in 2014, the National Statistics Institute announced on Tuesday.
The CPI, on a monthly basis, decreased by 0.40% in September compared to August, in contrast to what happened last year, when it increased by 0.2%.
The Harmonized CPI, which measures consumer price inflation across the European Union, went down by 1.2% in September, in comparison with the figures of the same month last year.
The National Statistics Institute will publish final data on Oct. 14.
