Jesus Samper, President of Premursa - the promoter and developer of the Paramount Murcia theme park project, has proposed a number of significant changes to the Ayuntamiento of Alhama de Murcia.
Samper's proposals are believed to refer to a reduction in the construction of hotels and the future infrastructure of leisure facilities at risk, originally promised as part of the so-called 'Lifestyle Center', and which have been asked to be omitted due to a lack of forthcoming investment.
The land in question already set aside for the construction of Paramount, is close to the resort of Condado de Alhama, where hundreds of apartments are already built.
Mayor Diego Conesa (PSOE) later confirmed how he explained to Samper that the relationship between the Ayuntamiento and Premursa could only continue based on four principles: "legal security, administrative flexibility, equal treatment and transparency ".
He also reminded Samper how the last point was causing the local council significant concern, and asked for clarification, given the lack of meaningful information forthcoming over recent years.
