The Orange group has again topped Spain’s monthly mobile portability figures in June, adding a net total of around 14,000 lines thanks to the contribution of its recently-aquired operator Jazztel and its low-cost brand Simyo.
The monthly portability figures published by website Economiza also revealed that Yoigo attracted 1,900 customers last month and is set to benefit even more this month with the relaunch of its popular Sinfin (Unlimited) tariff in time for the summer.
Rivals Vodafone and Movistar lost 4,500 and 29,800 mobile customers respectively in June, although Vodafone’s figures were offset by the 6,000 new customers of its low-cost brand Lowi.
Turning to the MVNO market, the operator MasMovil continues to grow at a steady rate, adding some 12,000 mobile lines in June thanks in part to the launch of a new convergent offer. Other MVNOs with a positive balance in portability included Euskaltel (4,200), ION Mobile (3,600), mobilR (3,000) and Ocean’s (1,000).
