The MasMovil group once again topped the country’s mobile portability figures in April, a month that saw a total of 409,000 changes of operator, according to data published by website economiza.com. MasMovil managed to attract some 10,600 new customers, only half the 21,000 customers it signed up last month, with its Yoigo and Pepephone brands losing 1,600 and 800 customers respectively.
Movistar (Telefonica) significantly improved its performance, shedding 1,600 customers compared to the 13,100 it lost in March, while Vodafone and Orange lost 8,300 and 13,300 lines respectively.
Digi Mobil, the operator targeting Romanians in Spain, was the most successful MVNO in April, signing up a total of 8,000 new customers thanks to a revamped offer, with ION Mobile, Euskaltel and OpenCable also adding around 2,000 new lines, followed by Telecable and Republica Movil with 1,600 and 1,300 ported numbers respectively.
