- Liva & Laia : 15th November

on the 18th of November 1976, the Spanish Parliament effectively established a democracy after 37 years of Dictatorship under General Franco.
The declaration came almost one year to the day after Juan Carlos was declared King of Spain, and followed the suspension of the Monarchy in 1931 when his Grandfather - Alonso XIII was deposed.
King Juan Carlos, and the return to democracy held huge mass appeal, although his popularity waned somewhat towards the end of his reign amid various scandals.
What can not be denied is the significant change in Spanish Politics; Democracy; Freedom and life in general that he helped shape since the 18th of November 41 years ago.
