SANTANDER
Spanish bank Santander shrugged off concerns over a debt crisis at home and showed its overseas expansion ambitions are still intact with the buyout of its Mexican division for $2.5billion.
ECONOMY
Spain will pay dearly as it conducts a string of bond auctions over the next several weeks but is expected to raise enough money to meet a huge bond redemption at the end of July, analysts said.
